Saudi Arabia is developing mining as the third pillar of its economy under Vision 2030. The UAE is becoming a regional hub for mining and commodity trading. African countries are issuing new licences. New projects need machinery, spare parts, consumables, technology and services.
The Mining Show is where these projects meet suppliers. The show has been held for 19 years in a row and is the industry's main annual gathering in the region.
Another 5% come from other Middle Eastern countries, 3% from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, 2% from Central Asia.
